Mentholatum Acnes Oil-Control Moisturizer

This is another product from Mentholatum. In case you're unaware, Mentholatum also owns Phisoderm, OXY and Softlips in the USA. This is a product of Mentholatum Asia.

Acnes is a facial skin care line that concentrates on the treatment of pimples and blackheads. It's targeted towards teens that's why their products are cheap.


Acnes Oil-Control Moisturizer is formulated to control excess sebum, unclog pores and treats and prevents pimples. It has SPF 15 PA+ for UVA and UVB protection.


What I like about this moisturizer is that the consistency is like gel. My face isn't sticky after I put this on. The only problem is, the gel moisturizer is a bit liquidy, so, I have to use a lot since it dries out pretty quick.

To test out if it's good in fighting pimples, I had my sister use it. My sister suddenly broke out pimples all over her face due to a moisturizer that didn't suit her. I had her use this instead. A week after, her pimples are still there.

This moisturizer is meant for oily skin. That's why it's so light-weight. And it also has oil-controlling properties. About that, it did kept my oil under control because I wasn't as oily on my t-zone as I normally am when using a different moisturizer.

      Although Mentholatum is an American brand now (pHisoderm and OXY) this product is available in store only in Asia. Try to check their website -- http://www.mentholatum.com/acnes.aspx to view the other product of this line.
